An adrenal cocktail is to support adrenal function, which plays a role in managing stress and regulating hormones. Women may choose to drink an adrenal cocktail at various points in their menstrual cycle, depending on their individual needs and symptoms.
Some women may experience more pronounced symptoms of stress or fatigue during certain phases of their menstrual cycle, such as during menstruation or in the luteal phase (the second half of the menstrual cycle, after ovulation). During these times, they may feel that their adrenal glands need additional support, and they might choose to drink an adrenal cocktail to help alleviate symptoms.
A shot of orange juice can cause blood sugar to spike so to avoid a crazy crash, add a healthy fat such as coconut creme to reduce the spike from occurring. The healthy fat will slow the process of digesting it while preventing the blood sugar from spike.
Recipe:
1 cup orange juice, no sugar added
1 cup plain coconut water
2 tablespoons coconut cream (from the can)
1/4 teaspoon pink Himalayan sea salt (or sea salt of choice, just don’t use sea salt flakes)
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar *this adds potassium
1 scoop collagen powder
Mix together and drink over ice for a midday pick me up! Enjoy!
